A little bit about Sam
Sam’s passion for adventure starts with a simple idea, build a setup you love, get out there and put it to use. He loves 4x4s, vehicle builds, touring and camping, but it’s the freedom to explore new places and the memories made along the way that keep him planning the next trip.
His 4x4 journey began with an N80 Toyota Hilux, which he took from a standard vehicle through a full build. It gave him the chance to learn, make decisions about his setup and experience how it all came together out on the tracks. These days, Sam drives a Toyota 79 Series. With much of the heavy lifting already done when he bought it, he’s now refining the setup to suit his own touring style and the adventures ahead.
Sam has spent time exploring Cape York and the broader Far North, along with plenty of shorter escapes to Stradbroke Island, Moreton Island, K’gari (Fraser Island) and Double Island Point. Next on his list are trips further south and across to Western Australia, new landscapes, different tracks and more opportunities to explore.
